What’s Involved:
Clare will take you through a step-by-step sequence of how to create mono prints using a variety of
inking and blocking methods. Each participant will come away with a set of A4 prints.
What you need to bring:
Students will have to provide their own aprons or protective clothing. Paper will be provided;
however, if there is a specific item that you wish to print on, you are more than welcome to bring it
along.
Mono Printing Definition:
Monoprinting is a form of printmaking that has lines or images that can only be made once, unlike most printmaking, which allows for multiple originals. There are many techniques of mono-printing. Examples of standard printmaking techniques which can be used to make monoprints include lithography, woodcut, and etching.
